We play some Hardcore Game Modes while we train to become THE Combat Master. In this video we remember the five d's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge as we weave through the maps.

As a free-to-play game, Combat Master is super enjoyable. The game stands out to me because of its incredible movement system; sliding quickly around the map perfectly suits the run-and-gun playstyle I’ve loved since the original MW2. The gun animations are impressive, especially the crisp pistol reloads, and I appreciate that the Hardcore modes feel more realistic—rewarding headshots with one-hit kills while requiring two or three body shots depending on your build. While matchmaking is consistently fast, the game does have some drawbacks. The maps often feel poorly scaled for the player count, and lobbies are frequently dominated by bots rather than real players. Additionally, the static respawn system makes spawn camping far too easy since points don't shift based on enemy locations.
