In this video, Diana Bytyqi, DNP, FNP-C discusses Fatty Liver commonly seen in diabetic patients. Fatty liver has many different risk factors. Things like obesity, diabetes, rapid weight loss, certain medications, etc can put someone at higher risk of getting fatty liver. Fatty liver can cause no symptoms initially, however, as it progresses, people can start to develop some symptoms of fatty liver not limited to abdominal pain.
There are several different treatments of fatty liver, one of the main treatment options include weight loss if you are overweight or obese, maintaining good cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Other treatment options can include avoid alcohol intake and exercise on a regular basis.
