How to Reach Mukutmanipur :
By Air: The nearest airport from Mukutmanipur is at Kolkata at a distance of around 265 km.
By Rail: There are no direct trains available between Mukutmanipur and Kolkata. Hence, you need to take a train to Bankura railway station, which is located at a distance of around 52 km from Mukutmanipur. Once you have reached the station, you can hire a cab or catch a bus to Mukutmanipur.
By Road: Prospering peacefully at a distance of around 265 km from Kolkata, Mukutmanipur is easily accessible by road. It will take you an average time of 5 hours 30 minutes to reach Mukutmanipur.
MUKUTMANIPUR SIGHTSEEING PLACES :
Kangsabati Dam : Kangsabati dam was built along 11 km to grant irrigation facilities to the arable land of 8,000 sq. km, covering Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur and some parts of upper Hooghly.
Sonajhuri Nature Park : The view of Mukutmanipur in the evening when its close to sunset, merged with the entire backdrop is breathtaking.
Musafirana Viewpoint : Vast stretch of water at one side, lush green valley on the other and the blue sky overhead – that is Musafirana view-point all about. From here you will get the best view of Mukutmanipur.
Pareshnath Shiv Mandir : A hillock near Musafirana view point this is the abode of the Shiva deity named Pareshnath in Mukutmanipur. It is of a very ancient origin.
Bonpukuria Deer Park : Bankupuria deer park is situated in the middle of the Mukutmanipur dam. Take a boat ride to reach the other side of the dam.
Talberia Lake : Approx 15 km from Sutan Forest.Talberia lake near Mukutmanipur is surrounded by greenery all over, the cold breeze freshens up the mood. One can also find monkeys on the branches of trees chattering. A small lake surrounded by deep forest.
Jhilimili and Sutan Forest : Approx. 35km from Mukutmanipur.Jhilimili forest is a very famous destination for nature lovers. After entering the “Baro Mile-er Jungle” the greenery will increase both side of the road and the road is also enjoyable for bikeriders.
Rimil Eco Tourism : Basically it’s a place for accommodation at Jhilimili. The place is very decent. You will feel a village flavour at Rimil eco tourism center. Beside the resort there are also several tribal villages. If you want to stay at Jhilimili then rimil eco-tourism is the best option for you.
Ambikanagar Temple : Goddess Durga is worshipped as Maa Ambika in Ambikanagar village (near about 5 km from Mukutmanipur) of Bankura district. It is known that Maa Ambika is being worshipped here for last 700 years.
