Reveal Sound Spire Vs U-he Diva - Supersaw & Filter Comparison

Описание к видео Reveal Sound Spire Vs U-he Diva - Supersaw & Filter Comparison

One of my long term subscribers asked me to do another comparison, this time Spire vst against U-he Diva vst. I was asked to turn the unison density to the fullest amount in Spire (I do not know exactly what the density knob does, but you can read the Spire manual which is available for free as a pdf, just search for it on Google). I turned off the ANA, to prevent weird phasing. When the ANA is off, the unison is randomized. When the ANA is on, it seems to be retrigging (correct me if I'm mistaken).

The subscriber also wanted to know which one of these two synths is brighter or darker, in terms of the supersaw sound characteristic. Spire is naturally much brighter. Diva is a bit muddier (but you can brighten it up with an EQ). Spire sounds very modern, it is a very digital sounding synth. Diva's digital oscillator, which emulates the Roland JP8000, has a more oldschool and darker sound (which I like a lot). I find the digital oscillator in Diva to be very underrated and overlooked. I love the analog style sounds in Diva, but the digital oscillator is in my opinion the #1 feature in Diva.

I think both synths are great and they can be used very well together. I would however say that Diva wins for me in this comparison, mainly because I like the filter a bit better and the muddier sound.

Also, sorry for the high frequencies during the lead comparison. The audio comes directly from my audio interface, which works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I thought it worked this time but turns out it didn't and I am too lazy to re-do that part.
