If you stammer, you may have heard of costal breathing, which is one way to gain better control over your speech. We wanted to show you an example of the ‘before and after’ of using this technique, based on the experiences of one of our course mentors, Mobbassar. He was able to totally transform his level of control in just a couple of years after going on two costal breathing courses. It was a lot of hard work, but as you will hear, it was definitely worth it!

Empowering Voices is the only UK charity running costal breathing courses to help people who stammer. Why not give it a try and see how far you can go? We are running these 3-day intensive courses throughout the UK in 2025:

Bath: 30th June - 2nd July 2025
Sheffield: 7th November - 9th November 2025
