In this video, we showcase what is otherwise a standard Calyrex-Ice Rider team, but features a niche pick in Scrafty! This team was made by Ryan aka SableyeVGC and if you tuned in to the previous episode, you saw us get absolutely get wrecked by it, so we reached out to Ryan and he was more than happy to join us today to showcase the squad! Ryan also used this squad to get a top-8 result in a recent NinoPokeBros Tournament.

The idea behind Scrafty is to use a Super Fang - Coaching set to chip things within range of Glacial Lance KO's while also boosing the ATT & DEF of the Calyrex. Fake Out and Knock Off are 2 great utility moves as well. Bringing Intimidate support to the table allows it to fulfill that Incineroar role. From here, options like Amoongus & Urshifu add more support with redirection & spore pressure, along with Surging Strikes for breaker damage. Raging Bolt & Chi-Yu give more answers to Calyrex Shadow Riders & Kyogre matchups.
