DIGITAL VIP SALON SERIES: PIONEERING THE ANTI-HERO ON TELEVISION

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

The Producers Guild of America presents a discussion with legendary writer/producer Marshall Herskovitz, the creator of TV shows 30 Something and My So Called Life, as well as the producer of films Traffic, Blood Diamond and The Last Samurai. He will share his experiences in pushing the boundaries of storytelling by being one of the first to bring ambivalent, emotional characters to television that were not always right. Marshall and his partner Ed Zwick were vilified by critics as paved the way for many of the nihilistic, antiheroes that fill the world of cable television today.

This monthly program on the advancement of storytelling, will host
cocktails followed by an interview and Q&A with visionaries, innovators and producers who are changing the way we create, consume and share media.
