Ayesha Takia was born into a Hindu father and a Gujarati Muslim mother family. Her father is Nishit Takia. Her mother Faridah Takia is a home maker. She has a sister name Natasha Takia.

Ayesha married Businessman Farhan Azmi on 1 March 2009. The couple have a son Mikail Azmi. Her father in law Abu Azmi ia the leader of Samajwadi Party, Her father in law is Zahida Azmi.
