Disclaimer: I do not own the original song, nor any other aspects of the show from which the song originates. This is a cover, made using the program MuseScore2, of a song composed by Máni Svavarsson for LazyTown, a children’s show created by Magnús Scheving and produced by LazyTown Entertainment. This video was made for entertainment purposes and therefore falls under Fair Use.

And now for what is not just my first remix of 2017, but also my first remix that isn’t related to video games. It seriously feels like I’m the last person to hear about anything. Take this song, for example. I didn’t even find out that this song even existed until December 26, 2016. Yeah, I know, that late. The instant I heard this song for the first time, I knew I had to make this one my next project. While I haven’t watched any episodes of LazyTown myself, this looks like the kind of show I might want to have my possible future kids watch.

The main chorus is carried out by alto sax and 1st trombone, but one octave lower than usual. I figured this would give it a more sinister sound than the song usually has, though it still carries some of its characteristic goofiness. The tenor sax, trumpet and 2nd trombone represent the Robbie Rotten lookalikes, mainly in the “Hey!”s and “Ba-ba-biddly-ba-ba-ba-ba” parts. Baritone sax and piano round out the background instruments, and the drumset, cymbals and tambourine for percussion complete the package.
