Скачать или смотреть Testing Booting Android from SD Card

So I stumbled across a post by cathedral on XDA-Developers and noticed a guide on how to boot Cyanogenmod 7.1 from an SD card in recovery. Pretty nifty it sounded like it could be a nice diagnostic tool to check the phone's internal memory and so forth.

However my version of 4EXT Touch Recovery 1.0.0.5 RC5 probably isn't suitable for this method due to a graphic glitch. In other words, it works... sort of. (maybe 4EXT classic would be more suitable as I think the progress animation is interfering).

The phone is a T-Mobile G2 with a Desire-Z Engineering hboot (0.84.2000) and the 26.13.04.19 radio. And the card is a Sandisk 16GB Ultra (Class 10) that I got at best buy for 17$, and in case you're wondering what the hell that freaky thing on the back is, it's a generic 9$ 3500mAh extended battery I got from ebay.

I also noticed that actually shutting down the CM 7.1 rom from the UI doesn't actually work, so had to pull the battery to actually turn it off.

PS: The reason it doesn't work, in my best guess would be that the latest 4EXT Recovery doesn't use a cyanogenmod kernel like the older recoveries do, as such not all the drivers are there for the subsystem.
