Popeye and friends dancing at Popeye Village, Malta

Jan. 29, 2015 - Shot with an iPhone by a first-time visitor with no preparation. Popeye Village is the "Sweet Haven" set built for the 1980 Robert Altman movie, now a local tourist attraction. I wasn't planning to shoot a music video, but that's what it turned into. Totally spontaneous! As soon as I entered the gate, I saw characters dancing, and I starting filming before I even got to them. I had never been to the village before, only saw it in the movie 35 years ago. I tried to shoot the dancers from a variety of angles, even an overhead view. Pretty good for a first take in a place I didn't know! Shot with iPhone 5 stabilized with the Hyperlapse app.
