Can't grow a big Monstera Bosigiana Albo? Check out these reliable tips!
Hello everyone, this is 特殊气候, a shop that sells beautiful plants. We embody professionalism and warmth in our DNA.
Monstera Bosigiana Albo is a beloved plant among many hot plant enthusiasts. Even first-time visitors to 特殊气候 often say that they have fallen in love with it at first sight. Its beautiful leaves resemble a painting, with free-spirited white pigment loosely scattered on its glossy, dark green canvas, resulting in a variety of shades such as pure white, light green or snowy white. Its multi-layered, graceful and lively elegance can make one stare at a single leaf for a long time as if they have entered another world.
Taking care of the Monstera Bosigiana Albo is not difficult on a daily basis, as it requires only moderate light, humidity, and temperature levels. However, if you want to grow a big Monstera Bosigiana Albo tree, you need to follow these three tips:
First and most importantly, climb it up a moss pole. The Monstera Bosigiana Albo is a natural variation of the long-stemmed Alocasia, and if you want the size of its leaves to increase, it is vital to let it climb on a moss pole, with its roots wrapped around it to provide support while absorbing moisture and nutrients from the pole - this is critical for the plant to grow larger. You can choose from brown poles, sphagnum moss poles, or let it climb up a wall. Please feel free to share your own experience in the comments, and I can create a special episode on the pros and cons of various climbing poles with a charge of 1 comment.
Secondly, give it proper light. It needs at least 5,000 lux of light, but 10,000-20,000 lux is even better. Why does light have such a significant impact on its growth? One reason is that it strengthens photosynthesis, providing the plant with more nutrients so that the leaves open earlier and develop perfect holes, taking you one step further to growing a Monstera Bosigiana Albo tree. Second, with proper light exposure, the stem segments of Monstera Bosigiana Albo will become shorter, making the leaves thicker and its overall appearance more beautiful. Remember, when light is weak, plants tend to elongate their stems to reach for more sunlight to grow taller and closer to the sun, just like my parents who tried their best to raise me up to help me seize the opportunity for better growth.
Thirdly, fertilize it every 3-6 months with some slow-release fertilizer. We prefer to use "Ozgreen 318s," but you can use any other fertilizers that are suitable for foliage plants. However, do not over-fertilize, as it may cause the plant to grow too fast and become weaker. Plants need patience to grow well, just like children. Don't expect to grow a Monstera Bosigiana Albo tree in a week!
The Monstera Bosigiana Albo plant is both beautiful and easy to take care of, making it perfect for new plant owners. Based on my personal experience, it takes around 6-10 months to grow a Monstera Bosigiana Albo tree from a plant with three to four leaves. Let's set a personal goal to grow a Monstera Bosigiana Albo tree!
