This is the last in our eight-week series of interviews with former congresswomen. Lynn Woolsey represented California in the U.S. House from 1993 to 2013. She was the first former welfare mother to serve in Congress. She talks about her work with the Congressional Progressive Caucus and her decision to co-found the Out of Iraq Caucus in opposition to the Iraq War. She also discusses her efforts to protect the California coast. The U.S. House of Representatives Office of the Historian conducted the interviews.
