Join us on our first time dining experience at Jiko the Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
On this dining experience we visit Jiko The Cooking Place for a taste of Africa & India. This restaurant is Disney signature restaurant and very popular for their African/Indian flavors. The ambience is beautiful and relaxing. The ceilings have the Canoe birds flying over the sun and night sky. The restaurant columns represent the rings of the women in the African tribes. Plus, we found the largest hidden Mickey on all Disney World property. The stories behind the delicious food and drinks were very inspiring and beautiful. All the food had incredible flavors, the meats were soft and tender. The bread service and the appetizers all amazing. The cocktails and my wine was phenomenal and great pairing to our meals. All the wines in the restaurant are 100% African. What we love the most is that they had lots of food choices for everyone on their menu. The customers service was incredible from the host to our server Chelsea. The restaurant was very clean and very family oriented. It was also perfect for a nice romantic date night. The dress code was casual and very comfortable for a Signature restaurant. We really enjoyed Jiko and we do recommend it on your next vacation.
