Air Suspension Toyota Hilux/Пневмоподвеска

We decided to do air suspension because rear suspension does not work when a vehicle is fully loaded or when not loaded at all. To control suspension we planned to use air bags with lightweight regular springs.
We decided to make air tank and expansion tanks from fire extinguishers. They were primed inside and outside and painted outside. Further ports were welded one in each expansion tanks and 4 in the air tank.
We decided to hang air tank, expansion tanks and valve block on the axle, where hangs spare tire. To do this, the husband drilled holes and welded fasteners on tanks. Thus, separately hangs air tank, 2 expansion tanks and valve block.
Before final installation, by spraying soapy water we checked whether air seeps out of connections. Where water was bubbling, we overdraw again.
On the frame spring stops were cut, instead was placed a bracket for air bags. Bags were actually placed on the same place where spring stops, but displaced on 2 cm inward from the axis. Upstop as well as spring stops were tilted forward, so that when the suspension stacks, air bags balance horizontally.
Lower fastener is done in the way to minimize the height of the air bag. In the folded position airbag with fasteners turned the same height as the construction of regular spring stop. Displacement inside turned the best one. If on the right side you can put air bag wherever you want, then on the left side hampers the corner of the tank and proportioning valve. On the left an air hose of the airbag goes between two hydraulic oil brake lines, so that brake-power distributor is placed in the regular position.
We are very satisfied with the result! On bumps the car goes softer. On 4 atmospheres unloaded end of the car rises on 10 cm, without interfering anything – everywhere gaps are 3 cm.
