Sony just announced the sony a1 camera and it's a pretty awesome new piece of gear. But here at wedding film school we of course want to see how it fits into the wedding filmmaking world. I think at first glance, especially with the price point most will be turned away but I do think there is a spot for this new sony camera. The sony a1 is the latest mirrorless camera from sony and is quickly being considered their flagship camera. It offers 8k recording up to 30 minutes at 30fps, 4k up to 120 fps, eye tracking af, dual card slots, a built in ethernet, better ibis, and many other features. And that's just on the video side. It's also a top of the line mirrorless camera for photographers giving them 50 megapixel photos at up to 30 frames per second in burst mode. There are tons of other interesting features and I definitely recommend looking into it further if you think this camera might be for you.
