Toyota Vios GR sport apart from having a sportier appearance, this car also has the main feature of a CVT transmission with 10 levels of acceleration. Toyota has engineered the automatic gearbox to have a virtual 10 ratio in manual mode via paddle shift. This means that there are three additional levels of acceleration compared to the manual Vios variant which transmits seven levels of acceleration.
The presence of a CVT 10 speed transmission is claimed to increase the response of the 1.5 liter NR Dual VVT-i engine at a higher engine speed per minute (rpm) range. Although, the power and torque are still the same as the base version - the Toyota Vios facelift - which is a 107 hp engine and 140 Nm of torque.
