FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH - Defeating Odin & Alexander: Gilgamesh Island

Here is my win against Odin & Alexander on Gilgamesh Island (Phenomenon Intel 4).

I had a VERY hard time with this for a few hours when I tried to use Aerith in my party comp. As soon as I swapped to Cloud/Yuffie/Tifa, this became a LOT easier. It took me maybe an hour after that change?

My tips are these:

1. Use Yuffie as your main input character because her dodges are very fast and pretty wide. You can also use Brumal Form if you know you're not going to dodge in time to compensate (I did this several times).

2. Materia must haves include Elemental + Lightning on Tifa and Cloud (for damaging Alexander), along with Disempowerment (Debrave/Defaith). I also used Synergy + Poison on Tifa for applying poison to Odin. These helped to proc Sleipnir's Furor quickly.

3. Your mileage may vary on this, but I opted to drop all of my Limit Breaks into Alexander to get him out of the fight as soon I could. I absolutely dumpstered him on the first Vanish rotation, then I just had to clean him up on the second Vanish. This makes the fight 100x easier, because you won't be randomly getting knocked down by Earthen Tremor or other dumb stuff from Alexander while dealing with Odin after he returns.

4. Do not be afraid to use items.
