An Atlas Office

This brand new development is the second of its kind located within the CBD that is Makati City.

The developer, Atlas Land, Inc., started out as an architectural design and build partnership that created bespoke residences, multi-family housing, and commercial buildings before deciding to create their own brand of office buildings. Being the architect and client at the same time, these spaces were designed with a simple brief in mind – to be design-centric, to make the Philippines known for quality, and to create permanent homes for their tenants.

In order to achieve this, the building had to address current challenges of office spaces while looking forward and future-proofing itself to still be relevant in years to come. One of its key features, already incorporated into the design before the pandemic hit was the installation of dedicated air handling units for each office space. This can be connected to a fresh air intake system reducing the risk of viruses and pathogens spreading inside closed spaces.

This building also inspires others to think and build with a green mind – it prioritizes energy efficiency with the following features:
double glazed, Low-E windows and an aluminum weather screen to reduce solar heat gain,
inverter air conditioning units to regulate temperature and reduce energy consumption,
a rain water harvesting system to save on water, and
a dedicated materials recycling facility for proper disposal and recycling of wastes.

With these, the building was able to achieve its LEED Silver Pre-Certification without deliberately aiming to.

Another unique detail is a central atrium which spans four floors – perfect for a major locator requiring more or less 3,300 square meters of office space. These spaces are turned over as "warm shell" units where utilities and service areas are organized in one zone while providing tenants with an unobstructed floor plate and enough flexibility to fit-out and design their own spaces.

There are secured and designated parking slots for tenants, as well as dedicated parking spaces and e-chargers for electric vehicles. Because of the growing community of bikers and as a way to encourage more carbon-friendly ways to get to work, bike stands and shower rooms are also conveniently located at the parking area where tenants can freshen up before heading to work.

There are also two garden decks built for occupants to be able to step out, be outdoors, and commune with nature. This helps with the overall well-being and aims to stimulate productivity and creativity when needed.

All of these, taken together, make an Atlas Office.
