This little micro four thirds camera is over 10 years old now, but does it hold up for filming in 2024?

Paired with the 20mm 1.7 we achieve a 40mm FF focal length with a maximum aperture of 3.4 - which I filmed almost exclusively at during this short walk with Roxy dog and friend.

The camera can film at around 28 mbps at 1080p 50, which allows for some slowmo in editing. It's important to try and get the exposure and colour correct in the camera as there's little leeway for colour correction in editing.

The base ISO is 200 and to be honest going any higher results in nasty footage.

I used the cheapest ND filter I could find on amazon (Neewer) with a step up ring to make sure I could keep things exposed correctly at max aperture.

This lens has no internal stabilizer and although the camera does, this only works in photo mode. So a steady hand and some use of warp stabiliser in premiere pro is a must.

For instagram I honestly think you can get away with using this set up, which cost me around £190 all second hand. I enjoy using this camera for two reasons, it fits in my pocket and brings back some challenge to film making.
