Victoria’s Secret Daydream Fragrance Collection Review + Body Mist Ranking

Here are my thoughts on the Victoria's Secret Daydream fragrance body care collection.


Pure Seduction Daydream is a sweet, fruity fragrance with a candied quality. Typically, I don't like those types of scents because they can be very sour and childish. But I actually like this! We're already familiar with the bright freesia and juicy plum from the regular Pure Seduction. The plum in Pure Seduction Daydream is still sugary sweet, but more warm and musky with less of that fruit punch in regular Pure Seduction. If you like Cotton Candy Clouds from Bath & Body Works or KAYALI Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar 42, you will like this. Plus, the longevity isn't bad. I rate this a 7/10.


Velvet Petals Daydream is a nutty almond with some soft florals. There is definitely a creaminess in this fragrance, but the creaminess is less milky and more sweet. This light creaminess blends into florals, with some contrast from the bitter almonds. To me, this is softer than the original Velvet Petals -- while the almond is still bitter, it's not nearly as sharp. But if I'm honest, I don't like any of them. Velvet Petals Daydream also doesn’t last. I must have sprayed the tester ten times, but it was gone within five minutes. If you want a good nutty body mist, try Pistachio Creme from the Cafe Victoria collection, which I already reviewed. I rate this a 3/10.


Bare Vanilla Daydream is a soft, floral woody vanilla with a spa-like sandalwood. While the vanilla is still sweet, there is a fluffy, airy quality that blends so beautifully with the rest of the notes. The florals don't overpower, but instead add complexity and take the edge out of the sandalwood. Don't get me wrong, this is still a woody vanilla, but instead of smelling like the forest, Bare Vanilla Daydream smells feminine and relaxed. This will layer well with woody vanillas such as Phlur Vanilla Skin. Compared to the original Bare Vanilla, this is more toned down with less warmth and sweetness in the vanilla. It's nice, but I still prefer the original. I give this a 6/10.

Love Spell Daydream is a powdery, musky floral with slight fruitiness. The berries here are more sharp and less juicy. The jasmine is not heavy at all, it’s very soft with a powdery touch. The muskiness gives it a bit of a more natural, skin-scent like quality. This is quite different from the original Love Spell, being much less fruity overall and I can only detect the peach slightly. I don’t smell cherry blossoms at all. Love Spell Daydream is very blind buy safe. Pick any basic fruity floral perfume to layer with this. It will smell good. Not good enough to buy in my opinion – it’s just sooo boring. Longevity also sucks. She just didn’t stick out to me. I rate this a 5/10.


Overall, this collection to me is just okay. I went to the store expecting to buy at least one. I left with none.
