I'm posting these videos, because I got bad case of Back Log Paralysis and this seems to be the only way I'll ever finish a game. Also to share my love and passion for VR and hope it gets more people interested in this medium of entertainment.

INSTALLATION GUIDE:

After downloading and installing the game run it without the VR mod first, change the in-game graphics settings to what you want, exit the game and run the game again to see if the settings have saved correctly. Sometimes for me, game maxes out everything for some reason and I have to change all the settings again and exit the game again, and the run the game again to see if the settings have saved this time.

Try to do most Graphics tweaking before you install the mod, as changing Graphics settings when already in VR can cause stuttering and crashes and is not pleasant on the eyes either.

Should you need to do some tinkering with graphics settings in VR though, change stuff in the main menu and not in-game because when the game is running, then it's even more likely to crash if you change one graphics settings after another.

If you're playing wireless with Virtual Desktop and want to bypass SteamVR and use OpenXR directly (Recommended), then extract everything except openvr_api.dll into the game folder, where re8.exe is. If using SteamVR, you can just copy everything.

RUN THE GAME!

If playing modded games with OpenXR and after launching a game, the loading screen is down somewhere, just recenter view by holding Meta button on the right controller.

RE FRAMEWORK IN-GAME MENU:

For quest 3 controllers, double click the burger button on the left controller, it takes you out of VR and then you can see the framework menu in the top left corner of the game window.
You can also just go to your PC and use mouse to do all that. Insert key (INS) is default for open/close ReFramework menu. Here are the only settings you need to know about:

1) Configuration - Remember open/closed state
2) 2) VR - Set standing height, standing origin, recenter view and tick decoupled camera pitch
3) Might wanna hide upper and lower body in RE8VR section
4) Manual Flashlight, you can make the game even creepier by removing the flashlight all together, dark areas are still playable like this and it's pretty cool.

CONTROLLER BINDINGS FOR QUEST 3:

A - Interact
B - Reload
X - Back
Y - Inventory
Y close to left ear - Map
RS - Run
LS - Crouch
RG - Aim
RG close to right ear - Medicine
LG - Two hand guns
RT - Shoot
LT - on it's own does nothing
LT + LS up, down, left, right - Quick slots

I always have the Crosshair OFF.
