I find this hard to believe, but it's been 5 years since I released my first original track, "Pump Your Fists", which I made using Linux Multimedia Studio. When I first wrote that song, I had no plans to make writing electronic music a serious hobby that I tried to stay committed to. It was meant to be a one-time joke that I was a "DJ" more than anything, hence my rather absurd name, DJ L33KSP1NN3R.

But after that track, and the response I got from personal friends who listened to it, it made me want to keep trying to do better. So I kept writing, trying new genres and new software as time went on, and I've made it this far. Sure, I still wouldn't call myself some "pro" by any means, and I certainly have never made it "big" with the exception of one remix that got 50,000+ views, but I really do feel like I have evolved and matured an incredible amount as a musician over these past five years.

So to celebrate, here is "Pump Your Fists 2016", a complete, from the ground up, recreation of my very first original track "Pump Your Fists." I hope you will compare this to the original version I did back in 2011 and just see how much I've managed to evolve. I hope to continue writing music in the future, so this isn't the end for me. Just a personal milestone. Thank you all for supporting me throughout these five years. I wouldn't have continued without you all.
