Under the guiding theme “Building forward: Women political leaders determining the new normal”, WPL gathered Heads of State, Ministers, Speakers of Parliament, Parliamentarians, corporate C-suite executives and Heads of UN Agencies.

The virtual format allowed thousands of people from around the world, including influencers and movers and shakers, to follow the high-level conversations in real-time. Nearly 34 million people were reached via social media, and the outreach fueled a strong online conversation.

The exchanges at the WPL Summit 2021, which happened on the eve of the big Generation Equality Forum meeting in Paris, directed a spotlight on solutions and relevant experiences from leaders worldwide. Through insights and contributions like yours, WPL was able to explore and extract both individual actions and broader systemic changes needed to build new and inclusive societies.
