The 1960 Edition of the Historic College Football Playoff would have featured the #2 Ole Miss Rebels against the #3 Iowa Hawkeyes in the Cotton Bowl Classic, and the #1 Minnesota Golden Gophers against the #4 Navy Midshipmen in the Rose Bowl, all for a shot at the National Championship in the Orange Bowl.

Historic College Football FAQ

Q: Why aren’t you using NCAA Football 14?
A: Several reasons. First, I’d rather have my play recreations happen in actual stadiums, as opposed to the practice field, which is the only option in NCAA 14, as opposed to NCAA 11.

Q: Hey, those aren’t the right players/numbers for the year you are talking about.
A: Yes, I get the game results in a custom developed text sim and just use NCAA 11 as a visual aid.

Q: How come the stadium you mentioned wasn’t actually the host of the bowl game you were talking about?
A: For stadiums that have since been demolished, or are yet to be built, I use the closest stadium that was standing at the time of the game, or in the case of future bowl games, the stadium that was demolished and replaced by the current game stadium.
