A quiet reflective interlude at a historic place in Detroit. In 1763, Pontiac, a powerful Native American Chief, declared war on the British Empire, placing Fort Detroit under siege. A British force of 250 men were marching to attack Pontiac's camp, but Pontiac was ready and waiting and ambushed the column here, at Parent Creek. The story says the river ran red with the blood of the British casualties, and henceforth became known as "Bloody Run". We visit the scene of the battle here.
