Complete your investment for claiming deduction u/s 80C

Contribute in NPS for tax savings

Go for Preventive Health Check-up and claim deduction u/s 80D of IT act.

Complete minimum mandatory contribution in PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme and NPS for the current financial if you have opened any or all these accounts, even if you are not looking for tax savings. Otherwise your accounts may become inactive.

File Updated ITR for AY 2020-21 with additional payment @ 50% of aggregate of tax and interest payable and for AY 2021-22 and 2022-23 with an additional amount @ 25% of aggregate of tax and interest payable by 31st March 2023 if required. You will not be allowed to file Updated ITR for AY 2020-21 after this date.

Invest in Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY) by 31st March. You will not be able to invest in it after that.

Pay your property tax before 31st March specially if you have given the house on rent.
If you receive rent from a residential property then You can claim deduction against the municipal tax (generally known as Assessment tax or Property tax) paid for that property during the financial year from the total rent received ( Gross Annual Value) before claiming deductions like standard deduction @30% of the net annual value and interest paid on the loan with a limit of Rs. 2 lakh to calculate the income from house property.

Existing Mututal Fund investors who didn't appoint nominee earlier have to update their nomination details or opt-out by submitting the no-nomination form by 31st March 2023.

If investors fail to provide the nominee or no-nomination form by March 31, 2023, their folios will be frozen for redemption. SIP will also discontinue in such folios.
