My Fiance Canceled Our Wedding 💔- Posted May 12, 2022

Have you ever been told something that, in that instance, you knew your life would NEVER be the same? ⁣
⁣
When I heard those four words out of Matt’s mouth, anguish filled my body down to my bones. I was completely blindsided, heartbroken, and devastated. ⁣
⁣
Reality check ✓ ⁣
Life is not always as it seems on social media. ⁣
⁣
Truth is, I am grieving. The definition of grief is “a process that includes many emotions, rather than a singular emotion.” Let me tell you…my emotions are all over the place. Some days I am sad, some days I am angry, some days I can’t breathe, some days I am immobile, some days I feel lost, and some days I am grateful. ⁣
⁣
Being vulnerable is courageous. Matt was finally honest with himself and me and spoke his truth. But what I heard was absolutely heart-wrenching. ⁣
⁣
It’s now my turn to be vulnerable. THIS FUCKING SUCKS! ⁣
⁣
Leaning into the suck is important because that’s where growth happens. Our mess can be our message. ⁣
⁣
We created this community so we can all lean on each other and never feel alone. Just know: it’s ok NOT to be ok! We always bounce back wiser and stronger, and this is no exception. ⁣
⁣
Thank you for allowing me to share my truth; I no longer need to hide. Being vulnerable is scary, yet extremely liberating. My soul feels lighter already…for that I thank YOU!
