Way Huge® Green Rhino™ MKIV & Smalls™ MKV Overdrive

Dunlop Manufacturing honors some of the first pedals to put designer Jeorge Tripps and his Way Huge brand on the map in the mid '90s, last but not least is the Green Rhino Overdrive.

This partnership has done more than just bring the pedal back from the realm of hard-to-find cult collector “unobtainium”—it’s also given Mr. Tripps a chance to evolve his design and pedal size for today's sonic voyagers.

The Green Rhino™ Overdrive Mark IV is smaller and more compact than its ancestors, but it has more force than ever behind its mighty charge. In addition to the Volume, Tone, and Drive controls of the original, this beastie has the MkII's 100Hz control and an all new 500Hz control so you can to cut or boost your lows and mids by 12dB each way. Make your notes shake the ground like a stampede across the savannah or cut through the mix like a rushing rhino's horn. Want to take this pedal back to its ancestral roots? Just throw the Classic switch to get the simple Volume, Tone, Drive setup and sound of the original Green Rhino Overdrive. The MkIV is as versatile as it is rambunctious, and it'll come to heel if need be. It can take a clean amp from pristine purity to a punchy, dynamic rhythm tone, but put it in front of a distorted channel, and you'll hear more gain and sustain than you ever thought your amp was capable of.

The Way Huge Green Rhino Overdrive MkV is the smallest of the herd, but it unleashes a stampede of gnarly, gritty tones that rivals its larger companions'. The Volume, Tone, and Drive controls cover the basic functions, while the Freq and Curve controls offer finer adjustment of your beastly sonic yield. The Freq control cuts or boosts at either 100Hz or 500Hz—set internally—while the Curve control allows you to soften the creature's roar if it gets too aggressive on the high end. With this level of versatility, you can take any amp from pristine to punchy, from dirty to thunderous. This pedal will have your amp showing a whole new side of itself.
