D investigates and discusses the many significant contributions and roles that women in the wine industry have made and held over the last few decades.
Over 500 vineyards in America now have women winemakers. In California about 20% of all winemakers are women. However, that compares to only 4% of women owned wineries.
D then highlights the California Jamieson Ranch vineyard with winemaker Linda Trotta, and here especially the Double Lariat Cabernet.
D performs a full taste of the 2016 Double Lariat Cabernet and rates it 4.5 on Vivino. The Cabernet costs about $35 and is WS 89 and average Vivino 4.2 rated.
On the nose, berry and violets; on the palate, complex and layered.
