Darcy the 5 month old Labrador puppy has completed her 2 week residential training stay.

Darcy is a super affectionate little girl who loves nothing more than attention and cuddles and and more attention and cuddles!! This meant that she enjoyed learning and training her was an absolute dream!!

Darcy’s parents weren’t struggling with any particular, but as they other dog is a little timid they wanted to make sure that Darcy has the best possible start in life and grows into a confident lady. They have down an amazing job prior Darcy’s stay and we just took it to the next level!!

We worked on Darcy’s focus and engagement skills around distractions so she is able to respond to her cues no matter what is happening around her. We have also heavily focused on her recall so she can have the freedom to explore the world off the lead and we’ve also worked on Darcy’s loose lead walking skills as she’s going to be a big girl, this was important!

Darcy has done super well with all of the above!! As she is still very young we’ve implemented a lot of management techniques to ensure that Darcy is not making the wrong decisions but when it comes to training she’s now able to walk nicely on her lead, she can recall from variety of distractions and she’s able to respond to her cues in different environments and situations.
