Anwesshaa appeared on national television for the first time in the year 2007. Thereafter, she has been a part of various other shows. Her first breakthrough in Bollywood was in Golmaal Returns for Pritam Chakraborty when she was 14. Films like I am 24, Raanjhanaa, Revolver Rani, Love u soniyo, Panchlait, Dangerous Ishq, I am Banni, Kaanchi, Prem Ratan Dhan payo, Do lafzon ki kahani, Just Tigdam, The Final Encounter, Bansuri, etc led her towards silver screen. Among Indian regional languages,she has been doing playbacks in Bangla, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Nepali, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri. She gave her voice to around 500 movies across all languages till date. Anwesshaa has been bestowed upon by honours like Filmfare Award (East), Mirchi Music Award (Bangla and South), Tele Cine Award, Big Music Award, Women Entertainers Award, Star Parivar Award, Chitrapat Padarpan Puraskar (Marathi non-film), Academia Award (from Los Angeles, USA for independent song), etc. etc. She recently worked as a Composer songwriter in two Bangla feature films and released a few singles. The audiences' love continues to give her strength for creating more and more original content.
