An der Gemarkungsgrenze zu Stuttgart kam es am 4. April 1995, kurz nach 14 Uhr, auf dem Fellbacher Fruchthof zu einem Großbrand. Die Feuerwehr Stuttgart wurde von den Fellbacher Kollegen schnell zur Unterstützung angefordert - sie war ohnehin durch die Vielzahl an Anrufen in diese Richtung unterwegs, da anfangs nicht klar war, wo genau der Brand war.

Nach rund 40 Minuten war der Brand bereits unter Kontrolle. Der Sachschaden betrug über eine Million DM.
