In this putting drill video we will review how you can improve the consistency of your short putts. You start this putting exercise by sticking a tee on the inside of the hole so that the top end of the tee faces your ball. Push it deep enough to allow the ball to still fall into the hole and so that it doesn’t block the hole entirely.

Practice aiming for the ball to hit the tee as it goes into the hole. This putting drill trains you to aim at the very center of the hole when you make short putts. It should help you make more short putts because you might find that aiming at such a precise target allows you to still make putts even when the ball is not struck perfectly. This drill should also train you to putt more confidently on shorter putts, aiming for the ball to push the tee further into the side of the cup. The combination of a short putt and a precise target should result in more putts made.
