A patient from Denmark shared her journey with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (MS).

She was diagnosed in 2013 but lived symptom-free for the first nine years. Around four years ago, her condition worsened rapidly — she lost her job, her sport (dressage riding), and even struggled with her greatest passion, gardening.

Frustrated with the Danish healthcare system, she began searching online and found Swiss Medica Hospital. Within a month of filling out the online form, she was in Belgrade for treatment.

The process was smooth: quick communication, clear answers, and supportive staff. She received stem cell therapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and infusions.

Already, she noticed small changes — her right foot, which used to turn inward when walking, became straight. She also felt stronger thanks to physiotherapy.

She emphasized that in Denmark, there is no approved medication for secondary progressive MS, which left her with no treatment options. That was the turning point in her decision to seek care abroad.
