This weekend, let’s all… “ascend to a higher development” together. How? According to the mysterious guru behind Waldorf Schools…

So…
• Rhythm
• Repetition
• …and repeat
Options for achieving such a duplicative nirvana…
• Use an echo or delay pedal
• Use the scatter or retrig features of your drum machine
• Use a looper pedal or looping sequence
• Simple repetition of a melodic or rhythmic theme
• Use a Roger Daltrey/ Porky Pig style of singing with a stutter
• Frippertronics, tape loops, sound-on-sound techniques
• Your own interpretation
• Any or all of the above
Many of these techniques are inherent in our Jamfam™ music already, so try to do something unusual or new-to-you that involves repeating elements of your music. Remember that there is a fine line between interesting repetition (earworm) and horrible monotony (ear-mageddon). So, get creative with how to repeat without over-repeating. Keep things moving, but bring in those familiar elements again and again.
