Alpe d'Huez ski resort | Is it WORTH THE HYPE?

This week, i'm staying at the 5***** Residence Daria-I Nor in Alpe d'huez. Alpe d’Huez is a bustling resort all year round. The main village sits at 1869m in the centre of the Oisans region in the French Alps. This is a high altitude resort, with its highest point, at 3300m on the Pic Blanc glacier. Alpe d'Huez is the sunniest ski resort in France, with 300 days of sunshine every year, earning the nickname of “l’Isle au Soleil” or The Island in the Sun.

There are many reasons why skiers and snowboarders flock to Alpe d’Huez each winter, and in this video review, we will go through what to expect, what to do and where to stay.

Every school holiday, his loved ones and himself would leave their home in Paris and enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of this stunning mountain region. It was here that he developed a sincere love for the sport of skiing, as well as a wealth of knowledge regarding the best places to stay and ski. These memories stayed with him long after he moved to Australia as a teen.
