Breath of Fresh Éire - Art collaboration between Gaisce, Oberstown and An Garda Síochána Balbriggan

Introducing ‘Breath of Fresh Éire’, a ground-breaking art collaboration between Gaisce – the President’s Award, the youth of Oberstown Children Detention Campus and An Garda Síochána Balbriggan. The project, led by artist Joe Caslin, aimed to foster a sense of understanding and connection between the young people at Oberstown and the Gardaí by working together to create a series of art pieces and murals. We worked with Narrative 4 through the tool of Story Exchange, to forge connections, break down barriers and teach empathy in our sessions. The murals are displayed at Balbriggan Garda Station and Balbriggan Rugby Club. Thank you to all involved who made this project possible!
