This was a test to see if I could kill the Skull King just using Tools, no weapon hits or Silk attacks. My Pouch Capacity and Tool Damage are both at 2. I used 7 Tacks and 4 Curveclaw, some of which missed entirely. Tacks are an awesome Tool if you know the enemy will walk or run over them and they don't seem to be triggered and destroyed by environmental hazards. The extra damage from Pollip Pouch venom seems really good with both these tools.

And yes, I'm terrible at dodging this guy. In particular, I end up accidentally hitting down when trying to Dash after a jump with Swift Step. If you suffer the same bad motions sometimes, try and not press the directional joystick at all when you use R2. Similarly, if you find yourself accidentally using a Silk attack because you didn't hold up or down prior to hitting R1, then consider unequiping your Silk attack like Silkspear for certain boss fights or exploration where you just want to use Silk for healing!
