Solid Base is a Swedish-Norwegian Eurodance duo that gained popularity in the 1990s. The lead singer, Isabelle Heitmann, was born in Norway and moved to Sweden at a young age. Rapper Thomas Nordin, also known as Teo T, had a multicultural upbringing before settling in Stockholm. The duo collaborated with producers Jonas Eriksson and Mattias Eliasson to form Solid Base.

They released their first single, "Together," in 1994, followed by several other successful singles. Their debut album, "Finally," was released in 1996 and featured hit songs like "Mirror Mirror" and "Let It All Be Sunshine." In 1998, their second album, "The Take Off," achieved gold certification in Japan.

Solid Base continued to release albums throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, including "Express" in 1999 and "Party Totale!" in 2001. They also released a greatest hits album and DVD in 2004.

In 2013, Solid Base gained cult fame when a rendition of their song "I Like It" was performed by a plastic toy goose in a YouTube video. The duo took a hiatus but returned in 2014, performing shows around Scandinavia with vocalist Camilla Alvestad.

Over the years, Solid Base has had changes in their lineup, with singers such as Veronika Färestål and Jenny Redenkvist joining the group. They continue to release new music, with singles like "Wet" in 2015 and "We're Gonna Rock It!" in 2017.

Solid Base remains well-known for their catchy Eurodance sound and their contributions to the music scene in the 1990s.
