Ofcom could pave way for Royal Mail to axe Saturday post, Sky News learns

Ofcom is to outline options for reforming Royal Mail's service obligations, potentially paving the way for the abolition of Saturday postal deliveries.

The regulator is set to publish a consultation paper on reforming the Universal Service Obligation - and reducing the six-day delivery commitment to five days, along with increasing stamp prices, could be on the cards.
