A Week at the Plot, 12-18 May '25

Tuesday 13 May - time to get our Uchiki Kuri acorn squash in and also our courgettes, and then the mood takes me and I cut back a nettle patch to make nettle fertiliser, leaving a good patch of nettles for all the beneficial insects that like them;
Wednesday 14 May - I noticed white rot on a garlic that had likely been pulled out by a fox so decided to do a really early harvest of our garlic, and our modular sown beetroot and spring onions also needed to go in;
Saturday 17 May - there's an issue with our greenhouse door that really needs sorting, as one of the doors is jammed and the other is swinging out off the top frame, and I also get our cucumbers planted out, plus, of course, there's some shed chat.
