http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MILAN - This year, Italian duo designers Steffano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce are tracing back their roots all the way to their homeland of Sicily. For their Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the duo decided to go cheery and bright, representing the island's bright street markets, exotic beaches and traditional fashion. The designers took over Milan Fashion Week like no other and showcased a collection with over 50 models sporting street-scene prints, live florals, folk appliques and beaded embroidery. Everything from scarf prints, to T-shirt dresses with "Sicilia" embellishments to burlap sacks were meant to tip you off your seat, wondering if you've landed somewhere on the Meditterranean. Details and festive accessories were a huge higlight on the stage such as multicolored oversized tassels, embellished bags, T-strap sandals and headscarves. Vibrant colors such as coral, green, red, blue, white and yellow were dripping all over the chic blouses, high waisted skirts and peasant dresses. The show's closing corset made from bent cane, similar to classic Sicilian baskets, sparked a show stopping theatrical applause. You can take the boys out of Sicily but you can't take the Sicily out of these boys, that's certain.
