Pathrade Gashi is a popular Konkani recipe. Steamed pathrade/pathrado is simmered in a mild coconut gravy. The pathrado absorbs the gravy and becomes juicy and soft. Ingredients:
Pathrado pieces - 4
Onion - 1/2

For masala:
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Dry red chilli (Byadgi) - 4-5
Tamarind - Small gooseberry sized
Salt - To taste
Water - As required

For Tempering:
Coconut oil - 1 Tbsp
Onion - 1/2
