Narcissist generally do not experience or express love in the same way as non-narcissistic individuals. Their "love" is often shallow, conditional, and based on how well you meet their needs and fulfill their fantasies. They may mimic love behaviors to manipulate and control, but true, healthy love (whatever that is) requires empathy and vulnerability, which narcissists often (no always) lack.

Obsession vs. Love: While narcissists may be intensely focused on their partners, this doesn't necessarily mean they love them in a healthy way. Obsession can be a sign of a need for control and validation, not true love.
