Dear curvy mumma’s & just curvy people in general. Don’t your dare for a second think just because of your body that you don’t fit into the surf/skate/fitness culture, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with size (or even skill). Get out there & try new things, remember fear is temporary but regret is forever!

I actually find it hard to post my whole body here as I know I’m not the typical person you picture. I once had a really horrible interaction with someone when I did markets selling my clothes they made it very clear I wasn’t the body type they where expecting. Yet today & yesterday I surfed, skated & balanced. It’s what I love to do! Especially when I’m surfing I’m at my happiest (even when I spend most of my time wiping out😅), you really can’t describe that amazing feeling of getting a wave till you try it 🏄‍♀️

Plus the real people will never judge you for having a try, if anything they’ll be drawn to help you. If they are staring it because of two reasons 1. They are quietly cheering you on, 2. They want to help but are not wanting to offend you by offering.

If you love something or want to try something don’t let anyone stop you! Regardless of your age I dare you to learn either skating or surfing within the next year. I guarantee you won’t regret it once you get the hang of it. It’s only fear that’s stopping you.
