The All-Izumo Honor Green Band performing a benefit concert at John F. Kennedy High School Performance Arts Center in La Palma, California on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

The All-Izumo Honor Green Band is composed of musicians from Five High Schools in the Shimane Prefecture on the southwest coast of the main Japanese island of Honshu, along with a few graduates from these schools:
Izumo High School
Izumo Shogyo High School
Taisha High School
Izumo Hokuriku High School
Matsue Minami High School
Izumo is known as one of the religious capitals of Japan, with the Izumo Shrine being one of the most famous Shinto shrines in Japan.This region is also recognized for its contribution to music, including annual representation in the All-Japan Marching Band Contest. The is the second appearance of a band from Izumo in the Rose Parade, the first being in 2013.
This year's director is Mr. Yuji Katayose.
This is a benefit concert that the Honor Band does every year. All proceeds collected from tonight's concert will go to fund established for the victims of the Woolsey Fire that ignited on November 8, 2018 and burned 96,949 acres of land. The fire destroyed 1,643 structures.
