No matter the heat or the rain, someone will always be there to lend a hand.

In Houston, with young people as champions, we're building hashtag#Resilience4Communities in Alief.

As part of the Resilience 4 Communities program, AliefVotes, a youth-led organization is planting a new pocket prairie on the grounds of a local school that will help absorb heat and soak up rainwater.

Together with tree planting, community awareness and emergency response trainings, these other solutions in Alief are reducing extreme heat and flood risks.
