Abstract: The latest advances in quantum computing demonstrate that current public key cryptography will be broken somewhere in the near future. This raises relevant questions about its impact to all the infrastructure and services secured with cryptography, notably the cybersecurity of our highly interconnected society and Blockchain. Biography: Experienced IT executive and technology enthusiast with a long track of achievements in both Internet start-ups and Finance multinationals. In the 90s, while studying Telecommunications Engineering BsC he made a thesis in Anonymous Digital Cash and was member of Cypherpunks. He worked in the initial steps of public Internet in Spain in the startup environment to move to the enterprise in 2008 as Corporate Head of Telecommunications Architecture in Santander Group. Since 2016, he's Head of Architecture at the Crypto & Blockchain CoE, where he is also leading the global initiatives on Quantum Computing.
