Until now, we haven't seen any planet being born in real-time. But for the very first time in history, astronomers used the Very Large Telescope and discovered a baby planet being born.

This planet is located 520 light-years away around a star known as AB Aurigae. There you can see a cloud of gas and dust in the middle of this gas, giving birth to a very new planet.
